Mr. Serious wanted to speak to his friend, Mr Jones.

El Sr. Serio quería hablar con su amigo, el señor Jones.

So he telephoned him at home.

Así que lo llamó por teléfono a casa.

A little boy picked up the telephone. The little boy whispered, "yes?"

Un niño pequeño cogió el teléfono. El niño susurró, -sí?

Mr Serious answered, "Can I speak to your father, please?"

Sr. Serio contestó: -¿Puedo hablar con tu padre, por favor?

The little boy answered, "Sorry, no you can't". Mr Serious said, "Well, is there anybody there I can speak to? Your mother perhaps?"

El niño respondió: -Lo siento, no. No puede-. Sr. Serio dijo: -Bueno, ¿hay alguien ahí con quien puedo hablar? Tu madre tal vez?

The little boy whispered, "Yes, there is somebody here but you can't talk to anybody."

El niño le susurró: -Sí, hay alguien aquí, pero usted no puede hablar con nadie.

Mr Serious thought this was very strange and asked, "Are your parents there?"

Sr. Serio pensaba que esto era muy extraño y le preguntó: -¿Están tus padres ahí?

The boy answered, 'Yes, they are and my brother and my sister and the police too."

El muchacho respondió: -Sí, están y mi hermano y mi hermana y la policía también.

Mr. Serious was very surprised and said, "Listen, what is happening there?"

El Sr. Serio estaba muy sorprendido y dijo: -Oye, ¿qué está pasando ahí?

The little boy whispered, "I'm hiding and they're looking for me."

El niño susurró: -Me estoy escondiendo y ellos me están buscando.
