Adverbs: too, also y as well.

The order in the sentence.

These words all have a similar meaning. Too and as well go at the end of the sentence:

We had an ice-cream too.

Steve and John came to the party as well.

Also goes before the verb or after the verb to be and modals:

Mary also washed the car.

There were also some tense moments during the meeting.

You will also wash the dishes.

We cannot use these words alone:

"I love Switzerland!"
"Too!"

We must say:

I do too!

But we can say:

Me too!

When the same person replies to questions about a series of events that happened to him or her, we don't use these adverbs:

"Was it cold on the beach last weekend?"
"Yes, it was!"
"And did it rain?"
"Yes, it did!"
