Spanish letter: a company makes a mistake with an account.

 

Muy señor mío:

Me dirijo a usted en respuesta a su carta del 27 de junio referente a la demora en saldar una cuenta por la mercancía supuestamente recibida por nosotros.

Confiamos en que ha habido en error. Nunca hemos remitido un pedido y tampoco acusamos recibo de 150 ositos "cuddly-joy". El último pedido que les enviamos tiene fecha de diciembre del ejercicio pasado para 50 "Buzz Light-Years" (modelo tamaño mediano). No dudamos que esto se deba a un error y rogamos que compruebe sus archivos para aclarar la situación.

Agradeceríamos se ponga en contacto con nosotros de nuevo para confirmar el error.

I am writing in reply to your letter of the 27th June about the delay in payment of goods which you believe we received.

We think there has been some mistake. We have never placed or received an order for 150 "cuddly-joy" teddy bears. The last order we sent was in December of last year for 50 "Buzz Light-Years" (medium-sized model). We suggest a mistake has been made and that you check your records to clarify the situation.

We should be grateful if you would contact us again to confirm the error.
